Message from the Principal

Bob Quinones, Principal A Message from the Principal ...

November is here and fall is in full swing. Watch out for pumpkin spice everything!!! This is that time of year when the weather is great and I begin to hear people say, “this is why I live in Arizona!” I would encourage you all to take advantage of the wonderful fall weather and enjoy some time outdoors with your family.

I would like to extend special thanks to everyone that made our Parent/Teacher Conferences such a big success. Communication with families is a key component to any student’s educational success. We appreciate the time and effort that our parents give to ensure that they remain a fixture in their child’s academic journey. If you missed the chance to get connected with your child’s teacher, please reach out to them as soon as possible. In addition, we are grateful to our PTO and generous families who provided a wonderful meal with outstanding sweet treats for all staff during the dinner break.

As you know, November also brings about the beginning of the Holiday Season, which is often another reason to explore and enjoy that family time. Thanksgiving is just the first of several holidays during this time of year and it is quickly approaching. At McCartney Ranch, we use this time of year, like many others, to reflect on all the wonderful things for which we are grateful. As a matter of fact, our Monthly Mindset will be “Attitude of Gratitude.” We are blessed by the community that is around us and we would not achieve our success without this support from so many wonderful people. We have a superb staff, excellent students, committed volunteers, and supportive parents. All of these positive people help provide our daily motivation. For that, we are all very thankful.

Each November, we also hold an annual event at McCartney Ranch that is loved by all. On Friday, November 17, we will be hosting our Fall Festival with games, food, music, prizes, fun, and excitement for the whole family. The community is also invited to participate as this is sure to be a wonderful event for all in attendance. Please join us for a great time!

Like always, we have a busy month ahead. Please mark your calendars for all early release days, holidays, and special events. Most important dates are posted within this newsletter but some of the stand-out events include our Awards Assemblies, the Kindergarten Thanksgiving Programs, Veteran’s Day, the Holiday Meal, and Thanksgiving Break. We will continue to list these events (and others) on classroom communications, e-alerts, reminder notes. Please continue to check your child’s backpack each night so that you can stay informed.

Thanks for all of the continued support from the friends and families of McCartney Ranch. Have a restful Thanksgiving Break and a wonderful holiday season.
