Mustang Families!

Welcome back from what I hope was a restful Spring Break. This week we will get right back into some of our regular activities. Thursday is a busy day with Brown Bag Lunch, our PTO Meeting at 3:30, and the restart of our after school clubs.

As many of you know, we have an ongoing partnership with the Boys and Girls Club through our after school program. What you may not know is that these students work towards year-end recognition and are honored at a Youth of the Year Brunch. This year, we had 8 of our Mustangs selected as honorees. Congratulation to those students and their families. I look forward to celebrating with each of you on Saturday.

State Testing begins this week. All students in 3rd – 5th grade will be tested in ELA (reading and writing) and Math. Our 4th graders will also be tested in Science. Please contact our school office or your child’s teacher if you would like a complete calendar of your child’s testing days. Like all school days, it is extremely beneficial if students have a restful night of sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, hear some encouraging words from home, and arrive to school on time. This is especially important on testing days. Please helps us make your students the champions of this own success by encouraging them to follow these daily guidelines.

This week, all classes will complete the writing portion of their test. The testing days are outlined below by the name of the teacher:

TUESDAY – Osuna and Little
WEDNESDAY – Barth, Bocchinfuso, Banks, and Bilbie
THURSDAY – Graffius, Blakely, Moza, and Wilson
FRIDAY – Cordova, Kleinhanzl, and Cummings

Thank you for all of your ongoing support!
