Mustang Families,

Last week we hosted a great 7 Mindsets Assembly where many of our students got to share their big dreams with the school. It was wonderful to hear the numerous ambitions of our students. This was an exciting and engaging event for all and we plan to host additional events/assemblies in the future for each Mindset.

As we continue this exciting journey through the 7 Mindsets, our weekly focus is THINK POSITIVE. It seems so simple, but this theme expects so much. We are planting seeds of positivity and hoping to stay away from negativity. I often tell people, "negative...easy to be but tough to beat." For some, thinking and being positive can be a first. The good news is that anyone can make it a habit.

This week, like I am doing with our students, I would encourage you and your family to focus on being positive. While this will certainly look different for every person and every family, it will make anyone involved feel great. Come join us on #TeamPositivity!

This week we have a few events that are important to note. For our K-3 students, Mayor's Reading Club will begin on Wednesday. This is when approved volunteers from the community and Mayor's Office come join the celebration of literacy within our classrooms. We also have CGMS students coming to one of our Kindergarten classrooms on Thursday to work as Art Partners without students. This is a great leadership opportunity for the middle school students and a positive connection for our kiddos.

Don't forget that there is no school on Friday. Teachers will be on campus participating in professional development and growth opportunities so that we can continue to service our students at an elevated standard with high expectations.

Have a wonderfully positive week!
